Who we are
This website is operated by Golden Nest Global School & Jr. College, registered as Golden Nest English High School and managed by Vidya Education Trust, in Mira-Bhayandar, Thane, Maharashtra. In this policy, "we", "us" and "the school" mean that institution.
What we collect
If you fill in the enquiry form on our Contact page, we collect the information you type into it:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number, if you choose to give one — this field is optional
- the type of enquiry you selected
- the message you wrote
If you only browse the site, we do not ask you for anything and we do not require you to identify yourself. We do not currently run any analytics or advertising trackers on this website. If that changes, we will update this page before switching them on.
Why we collect it, and what we do with it
We use what you send us for one purpose: to reply to your enquiry and, where it concerns admissions, to take that conversation forward. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing.
Where it is stored, and who can see it
This site is hosted by Netlify, and enquiry form submissions are received and stored by Netlify's form service before being forwarded to the school's email address. That means your submission is processed on servers operated by Netlify, which may be located outside India.
Within the school, enquiries are read by the office staff and the members of management responsible for admissions. Nobody else has routine access to them.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only as long as we need them: while we are responding to you, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch about the same matter. If your enquiry leads to your child joining the school, the information becomes part of the admission record and is retained under the school's ordinary record-keeping rules. If it does not, you are welcome to ask us to delete it at any time — see below.
Other services this site uses
Two parts of this website load content from Google. When they do, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy rather than ours:
- Google Maps — the three campus maps on the Contact page are embedded from Google Maps.
- Google Fonts — the typefaces used across the site are served by Google.
Cookies and browser storage
This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own. The only thing it stores in your browser is a single marker recording that you have closed the homepage notice, so that it does not reappear on every page you visit. That marker is cleared when you close your browser, never leaves your device, and tells us nothing about you. As noted above, Google Maps and Google Fonts may set cookies of their own.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us to tell you what information of yours we hold, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it. You may also withdraw consent you have previously given. To do any of these, write to us using the details below and tell us what you would like done — we will not charge you for it.
Children
This website is written for parents and guardians, not for children, and the enquiry form is intended to be filled in by an adult. We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child through this site. Information about a student that a parent shares with the school as part of admissions is handled under the school's own records policy, not through this website.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this website handles personal information, we will update this page and change the date shown at the top. We suggest checking back if it has been a while.
